Welcome, yet again, my dear readers.  Today, I will start with an unapproved history lesson.  This is absolutely an oversimplification of a complex topic, but no more over-simplified than our children are presented at most schools.  It is far more accurate and honest about the driving factors in our previous Civil War, however.  Also keep in mind as you go forward, the Revolutionary war that founded our nation was in fact a war of secession, not significantly different than the one fought 80-some years later.

Any honest student of history knows that the republic our founders gave us died in 1865 at the close of the Civil War.  While I understand the popular narrative is that the war was fought to end slavery, that narrative is a lie.  It would be accurate to state the right to keep slaves was a major contributor to Southern secession, but that isn’t the same as the reason the Civil War was fought.  The war was fought to preserve the Union, as in the United States.  As Lincoln himself stated in a letter to Horace Greeley dated August 22, 1862 (here):

“I would save the Union. I would save it the shortest way under the Constitution. The sooner the national authority can be restored; the nearer the Union will be "the Union as it was." If there be those who would not save the Union, unless they could at the same time save slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views.”

In his own words Lincoln wasn’t fighting the Civil War over slavery, but to curtail the right of states to leave the Union, no matter the reason.  Even if you go so far as reading the Emancipation Proclamation, it didn’t free slaves in Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, or Missouri (those slaves wouldn’t be freed until after Lincoln’s death) and offered any southern state that laid down its arms by January 1863 the opportunity to keep their slaves (here).  Please don’t get me wrong, I am not arguing in favor of slavery. It was an abhorrent institution everywhere it was practiced.  I am just trying to clarify history with the truth of what actually happened so that we can proceed with clear eyes, and point out how events are skewed so that outside observers might never know the truth of them.

Please understand that the right to secede was commonly thought to reside in the states.  This belief in their independence is clearly displayed in the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions, both authored by members of the constitutional convention (so they probably knew what the intent of the document was).  The Kentucky Resolution being the clearest and written by none other than Thomas Jefferson (here) states:

“several states who formed that instrument [the Constitution], being sovereign and independent, have the unquestionable right to judge of its infraction; and that a nullification, by those [states], of all unauthorized acts….is the rightful remedy.”

At that time, it was clear that The United States was more an entity like the European Union than it was a monolithic country.  We see some echoes of this today in state citizenship. Most places you have to maintain a residence in a state for a fixed period of time before you are eligible to get a driver’s license, vote, or do other things as a citizen of the state.  I do understand these requirements are seldom enforced and many people get new licenses and register to vote long before the technical time limit is over, but this is just another point illustrating how the system was supposed to work and did work for about 80 years.  Even after the war, Jefferson Davis was never tried for treason because the government was afraid that he would be acquitted and in doing so make the Civil War truly a War of Northern Aggression (here).  In truth, had Lincoln lost the election or the South left the union in the 1850s, there is a real chance they would have left without a war.

At this point, you may be asking why I am bringing this up now.  I am bringing it up because I feel we are in another 1860 moment as a nation. While the issues are not as onerous as slavery, there is still serious tension, and seemingly irreconcilable differences.

Add to that, we have Darth Brandon going full Palpatine, declaring 70-some million Americans terrorists who embrace political violence (here).

Like he didn’t live through the Summer of 2020 while leftists burned, looted, raped, and murdered with impunity.  Like he was unaware of illegal protests trying to sway sitting Supreme Court Justices and the bungled attempt by a leftist to assassinate a sitting Supreme Court Judge.  Is he unaware of the leftists burning pregnancy resource centers and threatening more violence if laws are not changed (here and here)?  What about the successful bombing of the US Capitol in 1980 (here)?  This appears to be a serious case of projection. As far as I can tell, in the last 5 years there has been little to no organized violence from the right outside of January 6th 2021, and until I get an explanation as to who Ray Epps is and why he isn’t in jail, I will continue to believe that January 6th was a false flag, where the government arranged violence for the cameras and then let unwitting peaceful protestors in the back door for a gotcha trap (here).

Yet, the mainstream media (MSM) and the Democratic Party (DNC) keep harping on a narrative of conservative violence that I can’t find any examples of. Well, except false, staged events like those surrounding the Smollett guy or the racial slurs (painted by the black students) (here, here, and here).  While I keep hearing that racial violence (the white on minority kind) is reaching epidemic proportions, I can’t find any examples that didn’t turn out to be hoaxes.  It may be so hard to find real hate crimes because the Wall Street Journal reports that less than 1 in 3 reported hate crimes actually happened and the rest were fake (here and here).

The insanity goes even deeper when we look and see that the DNC has spent over 50 million dollars to support the campaigns of dangerous and racist MAGA candidates (here, here, here, and here).  On one side, the democratic presidential puppet is going all dark side, warning about the danger of his violent political opponents, while his supporters still threaten to riot and burn cities over politics they don’t like (here and here), and violence enabled by leftist prosecutors turn the entire nation into bleeding Kansas (here, here, and here).  I get that the left thinks these candidates will be easier opponents to beat, but what if they don’t beat them?  If they really think these people are violent and vile extremists, then why risk putting them in power?  Why amplify their message and grant them much greater visibility?  I guess the other option is that the DNC doesn’t really think they are any kind of extremist or a violent threat, but instead thinks they make convenient strawmen and fall guys for the false narrative they want to get out.  This tactic is also being used to justify the use of federal law enforcement so that it can be used to target political rivals.  If we substitute Jew, Bourgeois, or any other demonized group, the speech could have been given by any of the authoritarian tyrants of the Twentieth Century, from Hitler to Pol Pot.  January 6th wasn’t a night of broken glass as some would style it (here).  January 6th, 2021 was more a Reichstag fire, designed from the beginning to make political rivals scapegoats and lesser to justify terrors to come.  What better way to justify harassment and arrest of seated representatives if the elections go wrong than by having them pre-labeled and a FBI-gone-secret-police ready and willing.

Like nearly everything else the left elite claim, from climate change to equity, odds are their actions say they believe the exact opposite.  The fact is the DNC and the wider leftist movement are trying to set up a scenario where they have a thing to demonize, while making sure their targets have no voice and no recourse.  This is all so that they can continue with their agenda of Marxist Critical Theory (wrapped in melanin) reducing America to full kleptocracy like Venezuela, where they are the ‘haves’ and everyone else only serves.  This is the goal and I am not sure it can be stopped at the federal level.

The truth is our Federal Government is lost. Its agencies are all bought and paid for and our elected officials, with rare exception, have sold out to the highest bidder and now feast on the carcass of our once great republic (here and here).  What do we do?  It is time to take a page from the left’s book and defy the Federal Government’s laws whenever they run counter to our values or interpretation of the constitution.  This strategy seems to be working wonders for marijuana and lets not forget all the sanctuary cities where emigration law doesn’t apply (here, here, and here).  We must support local leadership and third parties that will support our voice and our rights.  Have your state become a 2A sanctuary, support local government that sends illegal aliens by bus to sanctuaries that want them, and fight for your right to self determination at the state, county, and town level.  The legalization of marijuana for medical and recreational use in so many states, against federal law, is proof of Washington’s impotence to enforce its will without the assistance of the local government.  Push as hard as you can to have your state act like its own independent nation in a collective like the EU and not like a subservient cog in the central government machine.

The COVID response was the perfect example of states defying the edicts of Washington DC in order to meet the needs of their constituents and allow their people the right of self-determination.  Through this, embrace the non-aggression principal and be at all times peaceful, but be ready like the minute man to defend yourself and your state if it comes to that.  Our only hope is for our states to say no and take back their own sovereignty.  I know there are places that are lost causes and if you are there, I am sorry.  All I can do is recommend you join the exodus to a place where there is still hope and the Republic still lives in the hearts of the people.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
