When You Can Have a Little More Power Today....
Welcome, and buckle up, because things are going to start to get interesting and perhaps not in a good way. I have written a couple of times about the shift we are seeing in the narrative. That shift is accelerating. Where it will leave us, I do not know, and there are a lot of options, some better than others. We are in a dangerous time because, cornered and wounded, the Democratic party also happens to be the party in power. Fortunately, there are still enough patriots who understand their oaths to the constitution sufficiently to protect us from the worst ideas floated so far. Ideas like packing the supreme court, doing away with the filibuster, and blindly mailing out ballots with no mechanism in place to make sure they are actually received and returned by lawful voters. I do not believe this to be a permanent condition, unfortunately. If we look at the pressure being applied by the MSM (here, here, and here) these articles are replete with the often repeated lie that unfortunately we allow our children to be taught in grade schools across the country, the lie that there is such a thing as American democracy and that democracy as an idea is a good thing. When the truth is democracy is only a slightly better way of doing things than communism or socialism. Things like the electoral college, filibuster, and Supreme Court were baked into our system of government specifically to prevent majority rule and ensure we were not a democracy. The idea was that there should be tools integral to the system that prevent the majority from running roughshod over the minority and their rights. The fact that Biden hasn’t yet passed the most egregious portions of his agenda and much of what has passed required tricks, such as reconciliation rather than debate and honest votes, speaks volumes to how well the longstanding filibuster is still working exactly as intended. Another fine example of how the system our founders gave us is still working, at least in part, as designed is that the Supreme Court struck down the private company vaccine mandate.
Unfortunately for Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, their adherence to their oaths of office, wisdom in protecting a system that provided the under dog the tools to fight the majority, and willingness to lead by example with integrity has rendered them persona non grata in their own party, with Kyrsten being censured, and both facing the possibility that their own party will run a candidate against them (here, here, here, here, and here). So, the DNC has all of its propaganda outlets out for blood and will probably be looking to switch things up internally. This is extremely short sighted. As I pointed out last week, the much touted Patriot Act, that would make the world free of terrorism and pushed by the red team a score of years ago, is now being used to chill speech at school board meetings and criminalize soccer moms. It is the same here. These short sighted ignorant people that have been elected to congress can’t see past what they want right now, like indolent children, when in fact, if they were to remove the filibuster there will come a time, be it in a year or twenty years, that they will find themselves run over roughshod by the opposition, having removed any ability to stall or prevent the passage of egregious legislation. Unfortunately, by that time, this poor decision will have been lost down the memory hole and there will be no introspection or learning from the error, just as the red team has learned nothing from their Patriot Act or Military Commissions Act, because the problem can never be what they did.
Add to all that the absolute panic about the latest polling numbers, where most Americans think the country is going down the tubes and there is little to no hope of saving it (here). We also have that pesky majority rule pop up again. This idea that the American system has anything to do with majority rule (it doesn’t and was specifically designed to avoid it) is becoming so prevalent across approved MSM talking points and articles that it is clear someone at the top has decided that is the way it has always been, now it is time to convince the sheep. This is the moment when those of good faith must stand up and say NO. No to the idea of majority rule, no to the blind compliance, and no to the ‘with us or against us’ mindset that modern American politics has devolved into. It is nothing but base tribalism, where the tribe you belong to can do no wrong because comparatively the other tribe is so much worse. There is no room for nuance or ranges of concepts. Modern politics is 100% compliance or exile as an enemy. When it is wrong it is wrong and it doesn’t matter who is doing it. We need to take off the blue and red jerseys, think for ourselves, and stop believing either side cares about anything but their own power and control.
Shortly after we had two Democrats stand up for the republic and protect one of the most important tools for keeping us free, Biden gets on TV and, among other incoherent ramblings, starts talking about the midterms not being legitimate (here). This is in my opinion an extremely dangerous tell. I say this because the one thing the left is really good at is projection. Look at all the reporting on Jan 6th where a bunch of folks got into the capital and milled around like tourists with very little in the way of damage and no demands (here and here) compared to the reporting on major nationwide rioting that resulted in hundreds of deaths, billions in damage, and was accompanied by specific political demands (Note, violence intended to frighten civilians coupled with political demands is the definition of terrorism.) (here, here, here and here), but no, we had ‘fiery but mostly peaceful’ protests and a ‘terrible insurrection’ and ‘threat to our country’. This becomes even more curious when we examine not only the FBI’s history of false flag terrorist plots to justify their existence, but also some of the strange happenings around Jan 6th that stink of FBI incitement (here). While it doesn’t matter how much evidence, or at least strange goings on, were involved in the 2020 election such, as over 100 thousand people over 120 years old voting in Wisconsin in 2020 (here) and there are thousands of other examples from all over the country. Don’t take this as a condemnation of the DNC alone. I am completely convinced both sides cheat a lot and the success of the cheating is more determinant of our elections than our votes. The DNC did it better last time, if sloppily and panicky, by claiming to close counting until the morning and then getting caught on camera pulling out new hidden votes and resuming the count without witnesses (here) in Georgia at least (but the events across several states were too similar to believe it was isolated). I do realize this was explained away, but the truth is the witnesses only left after they were told counting was done and they even announced that counting was done and would resume in the morning on national TV. So, to continue counting after that, even if nothing nefarious was done, is suspicious in its own right.
Now we have a sitting president casting aspersions on an election that hasn’t happened yet, one has to believe that they expect to lose their approval ratings The Presidents, congresses, and the general sentiment for the direction of the country being in the tank (here and here).The DNC got a huge wakeup call in the Virginia Govenors’s race. When that happens I anticipate a full court press to claim fraud in the upcoming elections and like last time they started calling the elections the most fair and secure in history before anyone cried foul or it was even fully decided that this time they will start beating the fraud drums before ballots are even fully counted. At that point they will attempt to use the fraud claim backed by their MSM allies, who will cover up any truth and publish any lie their keepers tell them to publish to try and maintain power, while invalidating the election. If that happens, it will be a cracking point, I think, and one that there is no return from. It is also something I think either power-mad party is capable of and one that they haven’t thought through the consequences of because that is after they obtain or keep power.
If we are to get through this, all people of good character must keep your eyes open, your heart with the Lord Jesus, and honor the Republic the founders gave us.
