Welcome once again, my dear readers, to the asylum in this so far peaceful post-election period. I don’t know how long it will remain that way with all the unhinged calls for violence from both prominent and ordinary regular leftists, but we can hope forever (here, here, and here). So, who knows? I am heartened by the choices we know Trump is making for his administration and the changes we should expect to see based on who they are.
I did have reservations when I heard Trump had selected RINO Marko Rubio as Secretary of State, but then it occurred to me that it made sense. In doing so, Trump removes a RINO from a place where he could cause trouble while creating the opportunity for Florida a friendly state to appoint someone more friendly to his political agenda This also puts Rubio in a position where he can fall in line or be removed without issue. So, that is a net positive.
As for the rest of his named appointees, I think they are fantastic. These non-establishment people have proven their love of country over themselves or the political goals of various other interests. Unlike last time, where I genuinely believe Trump listened to the wrong people and didn’t understand the game sufficiently to win, this time, he is on top of it and has a unified government. He should be able to get things done for at least two years (here). This time his cabinet really reflects that fact.
Homeland Security is going to Kristi Noem (the best governor in America), a woman who, while chief executive of South Dakota, refused all COVID mandates and chose instead to do the right thing and let people and businesses decide for themselves how to deal with the pandemic (here). Under Kristi Noem, South Dakota set a state of emergency and made recommendations, not rules. There were no arrests, fines, or any other penalties. Governor Noem rightly compared how many states responded to the actions of authoritarian states like Communist China. So, now she is in charge of almost all the apparatus used to spy on and illegally violate the 4th amendment of the American people. This includes the Secret Service, National Communications
System, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). I do believe she is an excellent choice for cutting down these organizations that have all been used to abuse the American people and deprive us of our liberty. With her expressed beliefs (she held to under significant pressure during COVID), I cannot imagine her allowing the collection of all American communications to continue, as the heroic Mr. Snowden warned us about almost twenty years ago in 2006 (here, here, and here). This should be a profound opportunity to curtail that vile and unconstitutional action while dismantling the capability to do so.
Further, with Noem at the head of FEMA, I don’t think we will see selective disaster relief based on political support like we did after Hurricane Helene, where FEMA workers were told to avoid homes or people who showed signs of supporting Trump (here). As far as Homeland Security goes, this is a real chance to undo some of the evils of the past, cut unconstitutional government, and take steps to protect American privacy.
Trump named Pete Hegseth to the Defense Department. In a refreshing change, we have a man who has been to war and knows what it takes to win wars. A man who rightly acknowledges diversity as a weakness in the armed services (here). This man was awarded two Bronze Stars during combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Not only does he know what it takes on the ground to win, but he also knows the actual human cost of war. Mr. Hegseth is no shrinking violet and has been a severe detractor from the softening agenda carried out on our military since Obama took over 150 old-school actual war-fighting flag officers (here, here, and here) and replaced them with soft leftists more concerned with making deviants feel good than winning wars or preserving the Republic. Since that time, living conditions for our soldiers have deteriorated (here, here, here, and here), harming morale, recruitment, and ultimately combat-effectiveness of our military. Critics of this pick argue that he doesn’t have the experience to handle the political nuances on a world stage. Politics shouldn’t be his job. The job of the Secretary of Defense should be to make sure American armed forces are ready and able to kill people and break things, and then deploy them on the orders of the President and the declaration of Congress. As a result, I think this guy will be great for rehabilitating what has been lost in our armed services.
Trump's Choice of Attorney General Matt Gaetz is also excellent as he has been an outspoken critic of both the double standard for prosecution we have seen out of the Justice Department and has been the victim of lawfare from justice himself. So, he is probably the man for the job. If that isn’t enough proof, Slate believes he will destroy the Department of Justice, indicating to me there will probably be justice again (here and here). Gaetz is young and hasn’t been in Congress a long time, with most of it being a rebel and outsider. As such, I expect him to shake things up a lot.
Choosing Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence is brilliant. I have long respected this woman, and had it not been for her repudiated position on the Second Amendment, I would have voted for her. I also respect the fact that she openly and sincerely explained what her views on the Second Amendment were, why she believed that way, and what changed her mind. Her speech honestly convinced me that she had changed. It boils down to guns being dangerous; she grew up liberal, never really thought about it, and, as such, was cool with gun control. Then she saw COVID responses and the insanity of political entities and thought about it. After that, she understood an armed population's importance and significant benefit (here).
I know more people will be appointed, but I don’t write this as you read it, so I look forward to more parts as we move forward. Also, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will probably get his own paper in this series. I will continue to tell you what I think. At this point, Trump is doing much better, and it is driving the woke leftist crazy, especially considering they don’t have the congressional power to stop it, and Trump clearly has a mandate this time. It is a good start, but we didn’t get here in one administration, and we won’t get outof this in one administration. However, this really could be the first baby step back to freedom, and that is my ardent prayer.
2 Corinthians 3:17
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
God bless you
