Playing With Pandora's Box.
Welcome once again to the Asylum, my dear readers. I write this week with a heavy heart because I think a Pandora’s box of woe has been opened in New York City as a nation. In the best-case scenario, American politics will devolve into competing lawfare and prosecutions of candidates outside of the usual limits of justice. In the worst-case scenario, folks decide they have been reasonable long enough, have tolerated enough abuse, lose all faith in an undeniably slanted justice system, and start stacking bodies (here, here, and here). Since at least 2020, Soros-funded DAs and leftist political activists have made sure that the legal system was heavily tilted in their favor (here and here).
This has resulted in a massive increase in crime and widespread devastation in affected neighborhoods since the Burn, Loot, Murder (BLM) riots of 2016 and 2020. The common people have been forced to watch as stores are plundered without fear of arrest or prosecution in America’s major cities all while major media outlets excuse the behavior (here, here, here, here, and here). We have seen soccer moms arrested for opposing pornography in school libraries or because they were mad a trans-student raped their daughter with no consequences, only to have the trans-student rape another girl at a different school when the district tried to cover it up (here, here, and here). For years now, a large portion of the country has been taking its lumps and for the most part, trying to get along and keep the peace.
Now, to interfere with a national election, the State of New York has dredged up a misdemeanor charge that is past its statute of limitations enhanced by other crimes, but the DA never said exactly what other crimes other than it could be tax crimes, falsification of still more documents, or including a federal campaign funds crime that Trump was neither charged nor convicted of. The Federal prosecutor’s office declined to bring the charges. So, they turned a misdemeanor into a felony to save the statute of limitations by bundling it with one of three possible other crimes that the District Attorney never specified and the Judge didn’t make him until closing arguments, stripping the defendant of the right to know the charges against him until the end of the trial. Go Justice… NOT. Further, the judge presiding over the case had donated personal funds to a political group, earmarked specifically “resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s radical right-wing legacy”. That is fair and impartial New York Justice for you. Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth there would have been if the judge had donated $0.01 to the Elect Trump MAGA fund? Then there were the judge’s instructions to the Jury, that they didn’t have to be unanimous on any of the elevating charges so long as all of them thought Trump guilty of at least one then he was guilty. That is exactly the opposite of how American justice is supposed to work. Each count should be evaluated separately and if the Jury is unanimous then it is a conviction. If not, it is not. This pick-and-choose system is wild and to my knowledge unprecedented (here, here, here, and here). Against this backdrop of obvious judicial malfeasance, The State of New York convicted Trump in an obviously kangaroo court.
Note this obvious contortion of the law, to meld it into a political weapon, follows the already tarnished legacy of the 2020 presidential election, the most doubtfully fair and questionably secure election in American history (here). A large portion of the body politic has also had to see January 6th political prisoners treated worse than Islamic terrorists, even while exculpatory evidence that had been intentionally withheld to support Soviet-style show trials of January 6th defendants came to light with a new Speaker of the House (here and here). Not to mention, while a massive number of American people perceive that their countrymen are being persecuted and their candidate tried on trumped-up charges, they still remember Biden not being prosecuted because he is too old and feeble-minded (here). Note, that this was in a house his son Hunter lived in while engaged in business dealings with China, for which he was paid millions and the reasons for compensation are unclear (here). Hillary wasn’t prosecuted for mishandling classified documents because she didn’t mean to do it (here). She was so unaware that she was committing a crime that Hillary had her staff destroy smartphones (here) and use a data shredder called BleachBit to make data unrecoverable off her servers (here) to avoid handing over data to a subpoena. You know, because that is what normal people who aren’t worried about getting caught do. We can not forget either this same left, who seem hell-bent on escalating political tensions, Impeached Trump for threatening to do what Biden laughingly admits to doing regarding Quid Pro Quo and Ukraine (here). I guess it is ok if you are trying to get a prosecutor who is after your son’s influence-peddling partners fired.
So really ask yourself, how much more blatant and obvious oppression and injustice will the 80ish million Trump votes accept quietly to keep the peace? What will happen if the appeal doesn’t get done or fails, so that Trump is removed from all the ballots in August or September? Worse, what if pending appeal they decide to jail Trump? If even 1% of his supporters decide enough is enough, you are looking at 800,000 people who choose violence at long last. If it is 2% that is 1.6 million and if it is like 1776 and they hit 3%, you are looking at something like 3.2 million people ready to fight (Note, at that point, the people outnumber all standing military, and law enforcement personnel nationwide.) and in all those scenarios you will have national collapse and widespread bloodshed not seen since the 1860s. No one wants that, but the more the corrupt and power-hungry left keep tipping the scales with their thumbs for political gains and power, the closer they come to tipping it over. Either they don’t think anyone will ever actually fight, or they are trying to start the fight. I don’t know. I do know this will not be a war with two sides meeting in pitched battles. This will be small groups with hit-and-run tactics where folks ambush or blow up infrastructure and then melt away to go about their lives among largely sympathetic populations outside the cities and in fly-over country. If it comes to that, I think we saw the tail of the tape when 25 states backed TX and its border policies against the Federal Government (here).
This doesn’t even begin to touch on the stress so many people are feeling in the shrinking middle class as “green” policies, massive foreign aid in support of proxy wars, and centrally managed mandated employment policies cause inflation and gut people’s ability to support themselves (here, here, here, here, and here). I think we are at a breaking point, where Trump is the last hope for a lot of people (who need Jesus) and if he is removed will perceive they have nothing else to lose. We are getting closer every day to a tipping point. I hear it when a prime topic of conversation among veterans is about their primary oath of service and whether they are breaking it yet or not by inaction. That primary oath is:
“I, ____________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same”
It is disconcerting how many different groups of vets are trying to decide if they are in violation of this part of the oath. It is a question I too have and am struggling with. I know if any group of people decides enough is enough, most of my brethren will too. These are trying times and I think much, for good or ill, will be written in the history books about these days in the future (unless we are super lucky and these are the birthing pains of Matthew 24:6-8 in the lead up to the events of Revelations when Jesus comes back). Pray for peace and revival in our nation. That we should repent and turn our face back to God and the principles on which we were founded.
Matthew 24:36
But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
God Bless you
