Wow! What a week it has been, my friends, and welcome once again to the Asylum. President Trump seems good to his word and is actively working to expose the swamp. This gives credence to my opinion that in his first term, he wasn’t ready for the dirty tricks, backstabbing, and underhanded plots he would need to deal with in Sodom on the Potomac. It does appear things are different this time.
If I am being honest, few things beyond my family and faith have given me as much joy as watching all the insane panic of the leftist crowd. The utter hysteria being driven by totally delusional fairytales is incredibly entertaining. The best part is seeing them and their kind shuffled out of serious adult places and conversations into irrelevance because crazy people don’t deserve a say. Look at the last four years; crazy people having a say leads nowhere good. All this is against the backdrop of Trump having the highest approval ratings ever while the Democrats and liberals are at or near all-time lows (here, here, and here).
Some of the biggest news is about USAID and what has been discovered in its opening books. In doing so, we found a deep pocket of foul fraud, waste, and abuse. Not only were we wasting massive quantities of money doing stupid things like buying millions of dollars in condoms and contraceptives for other countries. Trump said we stopped $50 million in condoms to Gaza, but the media, of course, says there is no proof and the claims are unfounded. In contrast, the same article says in 2023, we only sent 8 million dollars in condoms to Gaza and spent $61 million on contraceptives for the developing world in the same year (here, here, and here). That doesn’t add up to be unfounded; the amount was in the ballpark even if the destination was wrong. It is more of the same from the mainstream media (MSM) in
that they know most people will just read the headline, and if they read more, it will only be the first paragraph. Doing this will lead people to believe that Trump is just talking trash with no basis, even though the last third of the article explains why the claim is based in reality. It would have been more honest to start by saying the $50 million claims appear to be false because, in 2023, America only spent $8 million on condoms and other contraceptives for Gaza and $68 million on condoms and contraception globally. Then, go into why, with a headline, Trump's number is off by $42 million or something. One thing I strongly dislike about Trump is his propensity to pop off and be bombastic. I am sure he saw some big numbers for birth control; Gaza was on the list and out came “$50 million for condoms to Gaza”. It is strictly inaccurate, but he indeed stopped giving millions to developing nations for contraceptives, Gaza, and condoms among them. Sadly, this behavior sets him up for these media attacks that, while true, leave the casual reader (one reading to reinforce their existing opinion that stops at the headline of the first paragraph) completely uninformed. This is in contrast to how the MSM outright and boldface lied to prop Biden up and make him look good. Remember, sharp as ever (here and here).
The exposure of USAID also seems to shed light on the media’s unbalanced reporting. It looks like hundreds of millions of dollars in unique premium government subscriptions to tons of media outlets, such as CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, and many others, were being paid, in many cases accounting for significant percentages of the outlet's total revenues. These slimy, nasty people are not stupid. Where it would be illegal to pay MSM sources to say what you want them to, it is entirely legal (if not correct) to buy millions of dollars in premium subscriptions. At that point, how much more compliant would a media source be with government requests (here, here, [SB1] and here)? I went looking (here), and it is clear that Politco is a privately held company owned by a German privately held company. In fact, Axel Springer received around $36 million dollars in the last four years and was slated to receive just over eight million dollars in special government subscriptions. I just don’t think it smells right, especially since it isn’t just Politico. It is Bloomberg, New Times, AP, Reuters, and others. The MSM is essentially government-funded media. I think this is one of the reasons Trump has added alt-media sources to the White House Press Corps (here). [SB2] It will help keep the jackals honest.
I saved the worst for the last: non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Oh boy, USAID has been funding the heck out of them, including organizations that organize and support migrant caravans for the invasion of illegals, arm and train terrorist organizations, meddle in US Elections, and donate heavily to leftist candidates, among other misuses of tax dollars. George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, you know, coopted District Attorney (DA) elections to place criminal-friendly DAs in office (here). Catholic Relief Services, which organizes, aids, and guides caravans of illegal aliens (here) into America, received 4 billion dollars. So, we are paying for the invasion of our own country. Then there is Deloitte, one of the big four multinational banking and accounting service firms primarily used to cook the books and hide malfeasance for the protected class (here). They receive around $1.2 billion from USAID as a for-profit entity. It really is disgusting (here, here, and here). Funds given to UNRWA seem to have been diverted to HAMAS, prolonging the war and aiding savages (here). The list of abuses goes on and on (here). I am sure in all the mess are both beneficial and shady CIA operations as well as other off-book projects, but by in large USAID was a 40 billion dollar slush fund for the politically conned and appears to be more so as many recipients also donate enormous sums to establishment candidates (here, here, and here).
This is just the start and just the surface. Buckle up! The Democrats haven’t been this mad since we took away their slaves.
