Welcome, yet again, to the Asylum, where being as it seems to be a keyword associated with our times, I am going to talk about conspiracy theories, how they seem to have gotten their negative reputation, and in light of the last 18 months, what role the media has had in trying to hide truth by using the label as a weapon against people who just looked at available evidence and questioned the narrative.
It is thought by many that the CIA and FBI gave the term ‘conspiracy theory’ its modern negative connotations in an attempt to silence criticisms of the official line after the assassination of President John Kennedy. The most common item produced to back this claim is an internal document labeled Concerning Criticism of the Warren Report (here) that was first made public due to a freedom of information request (FOIA) in 1976. While I do not know if this was the start of painting conspiracy theorists in a negative light or labeling anyone who questioned the official line on anything as a conspiracy theorist, it is completely clear that both the CIA and FBI were working to do just that after the Kennedy assassination. It is also clear that they had the means to manipulate and control the media through Operation Mocking Bird at that time (here).
We can also be sure, as the evidence is staggering, that government agencies like the CIA and FBI have staged false flag operations on numerous occasions that they have allowed and disrupted (here and here). We have seen these same tools used in an attempt to discredit and unseat a duly elected president (here, here, here, and here). The media, of course, are trying to downplay it as just a political dirty trick and not treason because treason requires waging war against the American people. Note, this is the same media who call wandering aimlessly around the capital building treason, sedition, and insurrection, as they claim burning American cities, looting American stores, and capturing American soil and claiming independence is just ‘fiery but peaceful’ protests (here, here, here, and here). It is beyond me how any rational person could look at the reporting and continue to believe anything the MSM says about anything, without additional sources or support. It is sickening to me, as I watch these same outlets work in unison to defame, discredit, and trivialize anyone and anything that points out glaring inconsistencies in their coverage as a conspiracy theorist. I can’t count the number of times I have linked a scientific study, original document, or other such original source material to point out what the MSM was saying isn’t what the document in question actually says and the only rebuttal is the accusation of being a conspiracy theorist. The MSM has gone so far as to tell people not to read scientific papers as a form of research, essentially because normies are too stupid to understand anything (here). They give reasons that boil down to people just can’t understand, but as someone who has read many scientific papers, the results are usually x percentage had this result and x percentage had this result, then they go on in plain English to say what those mean. I do believe the average person can read a report and then a study and tell you if the official report matches the studies findings. While I am sure some don’t, I think most people, who read a study and don’t understand what it means know they don’t understand and typically don’t try and use that information (people really don’t like things they don’t understand). Then, there are many good guides to reading studies online: here, here, and here are just a few examples. Unfortunately, many people have bought into the idea that most people are too dumb to read papers and form opinions. As a result, when presented with evidence, they accuse the presenter of not understanding what they are presenting. As I will point out, this absolute deference to authority has led us down a dark path, especially since our nation was founded on not being deferent to authority.
The good news is so many conspiracy theories have turned out to be actual conspiracies, or at least possible conspiracies, in such a short time, more and more people are waking up to the fact that experts are propped up by the media, all too often to give credibility to deception more than to actually inform the population as to the facts of what is going on. This can be seen very starkly in the ratings of MSM television stations and the distribution numbers of MSM publications that have all gone into the toilet recently, while the alternate media like Tim Pool, Russel Brand, Joe Rogan, and others have been sky rocketing (here, here, here, and here). I think this is because all these sources, and others, encourage decent and don’t make any attempt to tow a line. The alt-media sources mostly just want to openly look at all the facts they can find and then freely discuss them as everyone forms their own opinion as to what is going on. This method of exploring what is going on socially, economically, medically, and in any other category builds unity and not division even among those who don’t agree on some things because they do agree on others. This creates a unity in the fact that no one is forced to pick a side, and people like freedom.
So, how did we get here and what lead to the MSM totally discrediting itself, to the point that it is rapidly becoming irrelevant? I believe it has to do with a series of recent “Conspiracy Theories” that just turned out to be actual conspiracies or at least probable conspiracies in such a way as to have been clearly covered up by the MSM with the intention of misleading the public. It has become such a common thing that even the most blinded by lies has had to have developed some questions, resulting in most people waking up to the fact that their world view was curated and not their own. Without further delay, here is an incomplete list but I will try and hit some of the high (low) points:
1. Russia-Gate (the idea was an obvious hoax from the beginning)
It is now clear that after millions of taxpayer dollars and billions of man hours, this was completely made up from the beginning and never had any basis in reality. Why it persisted so long, when it was clear the founding documents provided by Fusion GPS were commissioned by the Clinton campaign before the actual election, is beyond the ability to fathom (here, here, and here).
2. The idea that the 2020 election was stolen.
While there were enough new unsecure procedures, significant irregularities, and apparently sketchy behaviors caught on video, the thing that convinced me was the fact that the narrative across all mainstream sources congealed around it being “the most secure election in American history, with no evidence at all of any fraud because it was the most honest, secure election in history” even before all the states were done counting, before a winner was declared, and before anyone cried foul. It was a clear attempt to get in front of something they knew was coming because they knew it was cooked. Now, we have left news sites starting to report that 58% of American voters think 2020 was cooked and this includes 34% of Democrats and 38% of people who somewhat support Biden or better. They say it is across almost all demographics. Then, they go on to point out a peer reviewed study that shows fraud sufficient to turn the election in the final swing states (here and here). The fact that a major left-wing apologist site is publicly sharing this information is a signal that a change is coming and his handlers are done with Biden. I personally think that those who put Biden in office (not the American people) were counting on a semi-vegetable that could read a teleprompter and do their bidding at no risk to them. Unfortunately, he seems to be too far gone to stay on script or follow the prompter. So now, he has to go before he gaffs us into atomic Armageddon. I think they are going this route because between the election being fraudulent and Hunter’s laptop, they can burn the entire Administration down and not get stuck with the diversity-pick VP who no one wants in the oval office.
3. The Wu Han Lab Leak Theory
Remember when just questioning if COVID could have possibly come from the lab doing gain-of-function research on COVID in the city of Wu Han was total crazy talk, and would get you blacklisted from all social media and public discourse? When powerful experts wrote long papers and did the interview circuit decrying the possibility that the virus could have come from a lab? Do you remember that? Well, it turns out that there is strong evidence those experts believed it did come from a lab, tried to cover up the evidence, and discredit anyone who said otherwise, essentially to cover their own asses. Fast forward to today where the lab leak isn’t just widely viewed as possible, it is also widely viewed as the most probable source for the virus (here, here, here, and here).
4. Hunter Biden’s Laptop
You know, the totally made up political stunt arranged by the Trump campaign? The laptop that got a MSM outlet who tried being honest blacklisted off social media. The one that was verboten to mention. The laptop that not only showed serious criminal activity from drugs, bribery, fraud, hookers, and collusion with Ukrainian interests, but also clearly indicated that Joe Biden was clearly compromised to foreign interests at worst and just sold government favors for personal gain at best. Turns out it was/is real and is/was seriously incriminating. When folks ask why would someone leave any laptop at a repair shop (they are expensive) and especially one with information like that on it, my answer is twofold. First, why does a strung-out junkie who is convinced he is invulnerable because of his dad do anything? The second is that regular people don’t leave their expensive equipment at repair shops if they can avoid it because they can’t afford to replace it. Rich people, however, find themselves inconvenienced by not having their device and replace it. They then get busy and forget to go get the other one because picking it up is inconvenient. I can say this with absolute certainty as I have been in IT for over twenty years and have both worked in and owned computer repair shops. If people leave something, every state has slightly different rules, but most are that after 30-90 days (depending) from the date the owner is notified of the repair, if the item (car, computer, or whatever) isn’t picked up and paid for, the repair shop can take ownership of the item and then sell it or whatever in compensation for the repair. Regular people will call, beg for more time, ask for payment plans, and generally really try to get their equipment back. Wealthy people either show up to get their devices within 24 hours or you can’t get them to answer the phone. I have even had them tell me they replaced it the next day just keep it and stop calling them. The fact that the repair shop didn’t look at the data until the laptop was fully defaulted shows that it has integrity. Professional IT staff go to great lengths to not look at user’s personal data outside of a legal request or other similar investigative situation. There are tons of qualified IT people who can’t keep IT jobs entirely because they don’t respect data privacy of their clients. That changes once the laptop is the shops and not the clients (here, here, and here).
I know there are dozens more examples, but these are big ones and I think a lot of people are waking up to the truth that the media will lie to protect its agenda and the people it thinks will forward it even from things that would put regular folks in jail for decades. It is kind of fun to think what other current “Conspiracy Theories” will turn out to just be conspiracies in the coming weeks and months. I have a few I think will break relating to the COVID vaccine and shortages.
Now, just think, even if number 2 goes nowhere or the election is proven to be 100% accurate, what damage was done and how was the election tainted by the media’s handling of Russia-Gate and Hunter’s laptop? Do you think the election, if honest, would have turned out as it did if the MSM had reported honestly and objectively about Russia-Gate or Hunter’s laptop? I don’t, and it is something to think about. I don’t know what will happen. We will have to see, but one thing is clear: the-alt media must be protected if we ever want to know the truth and the MSM had better really course correct back to the bulwark of a fourth estate if it wants to survive in our modern world.
Until next time, God Bless you.
